Chrysalis Konnect - Kaleidoscope _{JANUARY 2021}

This has been a challenging yet eventful year for all of us all over the world. But the reaction of mankind has been really amazing and offers hope for a brighter future ahead. Existing processes are being shelved for new ways to do things. The most clichéd word, "The New Normal" is here to stay and the SFITAA story is no different.

The notion of creating an alumni association was floated way back in 2003 when the first class of SFITAA graduated from college. Several efforts have been made over the years including setting up of various social media accounts to keep up the bonding between the alumni. An officially recognised Alumni Association was eventually founded in 2018 and many of you celebrated this by attending Rekindle in January 2019. And while the preparations for Rekindle 2021 had begun, we had the pandemic set in.

But that didn't stop the team and they bounced back stronger than ever. Leveraging on technology new creative approaches were worked out to organise a series of online events, webinars and group discussions on various topics. Our very own alumni from various batches volunteered and provided their insights to students on relevant topics. These activities have covered an array of subjects ranging from higher education, financial planning to physical and emotional well-being. Students, professors and alumni participated in these events in large numbers. Building up on our social media presence, the alumni now has its own website which can be accessed via the college website itself.

You can never do enough for your Alma Mater and SFITAA is focussed on doing much more. With an aim to help students graduate with a clearer vision of what the future holds for them, we are working on multiple programs which we hope to roll out in the near future. Our vision is to create a brand image for SFITAA with a sustainable network of alumni. We thank everyone for their support and hope to continue receiving the same in future also.
