Chrysalis Konnect - Pristine

Greeting SFITians!

It is my honour to present to you the fifth edition of our newsletter, Chrysallis Konnect - Pristine. Looking back at the past two years, which has a special significance in the history of the world, it is hard to swallow how a tiny virus shut the entire world down for almost two years and directly or indirectly disturbed every individual around the world. Shifting and adjusting to online college and work from home was very difficult. But with the passage of time, we all got used to the “new normal”. Finally, in February 2022, after all the monotonous online lectures, for the first time in 2 years, SFIT finally saw SFITians experiencing a whole new feeling of being in a classroom. And, yes, of course, see them loiter around in breaks, enter classrooms after lectures begin and get caught by the professor for talking to friends in between the lectures. The corridors that had been quiet for almost two years were now filled with the voices of SFITians! I am pretty sure that the alumni that have visited the college might have experienced the same feeling. Coming back to the place that holds numerous memories is a unique and beautiful experience. Keeping all this in mind, it was decided to keep back to college as the theme of this edition.

In this edition, we wish to bring back the feeling of being back in SFIT. So this time we have a special section named Campus Stories wherein we captured the excitement of SFITians playing different sports after college, the spirit to bring victory to their department in IRIS activities, and the satiated feeling after eating chicken fried rice or misal pav in the canteen. Now talking about this academic year, it has been all about rejuvenation, a different experience of being back in college and workplaces with masks and sanitizers after almost two uncertain years. The section named Rejuvenation intends to give you a gist of how students and professors are adapting to this new normal. That’s not all! We also have a section titled Recap to give you a glimpse of the previous semester, portraying all the sparkling, energetic and euphoric events. So these little twists make this edition unique.

As Walter Chrysler once said, “The real secret of success is enthusiasm.”, I’d like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the enthusiastic team of SFITAA. A special thanks to Ms. Vedika Manelkar, our dearest mentor, for guiding us throughout the process of making this beautiful newsletter. And finally, it is my absolute pleasure to thank each one of you for taking out time from your schedules to go through this edition of Chrysallis Konnect.
