Greetings!

As Socrates said, “The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.” That’s precisely what the SFIT Family has been up to, getting acquainted and comfortable with the online mode and switching back to the traditional offline methods. Both academic staff and students are developing innovative strategies to acclimatize to these unpredictable situations. Our older (more experienced) alumni are succeeding in both their personal and professional lives, while our younger (more recent) alumni are breaking new ground and charting their own course towards a hopeful future.

In these challenging times of the pandemic, our student volunteer teams have shown great resilience and fortitude to accomplish all the work throughout this year. All the spectacular events planned out by the student volunteer teams in conjunction with the faculty members like Iris, Ignitra, Farewell, and Rekindle - all in a span of two months. A big thanks to all our alums for coming back to college and reconnecting with their alma mater.

A warm welcome to the fifth edition of our newsletter. In this edition, we have some new topics in store! You will be amazed to read the new sections of ‘Back to Roots’ where we have encapsulated the spirit of SFITians giving it back to the alma mater as they grace various events as chief guests, guest speakers, etc. Another new section - ‘Recap’ where we have highlighted all the major events that happened in SFIT with the purpose of invoking nostalgia and the fun spirit of SFIT as everything transitioned offline. A glimpse of a life of an SFITian - ‘Campus Diaries’ showcases all the popular hangout spots of SFITians. Don’t miss this one ;)

Kudos to the entire SFITAA team for pulling this off in times of utter confusion yet delivering with perfection! In consolidation, as Sean Higgins (once) said, “Every day the clock resets. Don't stress about what was, fight for what could be.”
