Of course, online classes were the need of the hour when the entire world was grappling with the pandemic. Hence, health was our utmost priority. Undoubtedly, online systems supported us with great flexibility in all aspects and in many ways for a variety of online system users.
We all, including students and faculties, have enjoyed and utilised that flexibility to the best extent whichever way we could. Although we all were physically away, the online platform was unconditionally ready for us and kept us connected not only through classrooms, institutes, cities, or states but also across the globe and that was something very fantastic about the online platform.
However, I was eagerly waiting for this offline platform, as I feel that every individual being a human always needs in-person attention and holistic connection. This was something missing in online mode. This is something that shows or reflects our sensitivity.
Sensitivity is something that always keeps us alive and keeps us bonded with all the people around us; either be it students, friends, colleagues, or anyone in our circle. So, the transition from online to offline has removed all those barriers, those boundaries, the line of insecurity, and the line of virtuality.
Now, when it comes to putting forward my thoughts as a teacher for offline teaching. Yes, offline teaching to a full class of young innocent minds and catching them with their real expressions is what motivates me, makes me upgrade myself, and allows me to stand before them with full preparation and confidence which is the role of a real teacher or a mentor. So, I am sure it is equally true for other teachers as well.
Sometimes students might be thinking that they were enjoying themselves online, but this is a temporary phase of thought which is going to give them only temporary happiness. But yes, at the end of the day, the students’ community must realise that what we miss on the offline platform cannot be learnt, cannot be felt and cannot be enjoyed on the online platform. To cherish college life memories, their college days, and those happenings that the offline platform can give them.
So, yessss… I am sure "We All" are happy that we are back on the offline platform.
